It is a\u00a0general purpose alloy suited for a\u00a0variety of corrosion resistant applications. It offers excellent high temperature resistance, up to 750\u00a0\u00b0C. In temperatures over this limit, oxidation and corrosion resistance is drastically reduced. It is susceptible to several hardening\/embrittlement phenomena, including &#8216;Sigma&#8217; and heavy carbide precipitation in the\u00a0grain boundaries when exposed to temperatures around 650\u00a0\u00b0C for a\u00a0long period of time. We recommend AISI 304\u00a0for use in applications involving constant temperatures of up to 750\u00a0\u00b0C (significant thermal cycling may cause embrittlement).<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e004110 elementor-widget elementor-widget-elementskit-heading\" data-id=\"e004110\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"elementskit-heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"ekit-wid-con\" ><div class=\"ekit-heading elementskit-section-title-wraper    ekit_heading_tablet-   ekit_heading_mobile-\"><h2 class=\"ekit-heading--title elementskit-section-title \">AISI 309 (1.4828)<\/h2><div class=\"ekit_heading_separetor_wraper ekit_heading_elementskit-border-divider elementskit-style-long\"><div class=\"elementskit-border-divider elementskit-style-long\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-aa5fa4c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"aa5fa4c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The AISI 309\u00a0alloy has a\u00a0characteristically low nickel content and a\u00a0relatively high chrome content. The\u00a0low nickel content means that this alloy can still be used effectively in environments where sulphur is present. It has good stability and is suitable for use in temperatures of up to 1,000 \u00b0C. Its composition makes it\u00a0 susceptible to embrittlement as a\u00a0result of Sigma phase development, which makes it unsuitable for applications involving thermal cycling. We recommend AISI 309\u00a0for applications involving constant high temperatures.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e9cc819 elementor-widget elementor-widget-elementskit-heading\" data-id=\"e9cc819\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"elementskit-heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"ekit-wid-con\" ><div class=\"ekit-heading elementskit-section-title-wraper    ekit_heading_tablet-   ekit_heading_mobile-\"><h2 class=\"ekit-heading--title elementskit-section-title \">AISI 310S (1.4845)<\/h2><div class=\"ekit_heading_separetor_wraper ekit_heading_elementskit-border-divider elementskit-style-long\"><div class=\"elementskit-border-divider elementskit-style-long\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7564234 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7564234\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is a\u00a0very popular alloy type in our industry, with good strength and oxidation resistance. Even though it is susceptible to Sigma precipitation, it is resistant to thermal cycling and oxide spalling damage, especially in environments with high gas velocity. The\u00a0higher the\u00a0application temperature the\u00a0lower the\u00a0oxidised layer&#8217;s resistance, with 1,100 \u00b0C being the\u00a0critical temperature. This alloy has a\u00a0moderate sulphur resistance, owing primarily to its higher nickel content. Other factors influencing its resistance include carburisation or a\u00a0possible carbon build-up. With CUPLOCK, anchors made of this alloy may be used in temperatures of up to 1,200 \u00b0C and are especially suitable for gas kilns.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8ed7b19 elementor-widget elementor-widget-elementskit-heading\" data-id=\"8ed7b19\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"elementskit-heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"ekit-wid-con\" ><div class=\"ekit-heading elementskit-section-title-wraper    ekit_heading_tablet-   ekit_heading_mobile-\"><h2 class=\"ekit-heading--title elementskit-section-title \">AISI 310 (1.4841)<\/h2><div class=\"ekit_heading_separetor_wraper ekit_heading_elementskit-border-divider elementskit-style-long\"><div class=\"elementskit-border-divider elementskit-style-long\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4fe3fe1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4fe3fe1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This alloy has the\u00a0same properties and specifications as AISI 310S, but a\u00a0higher carbon content (max. 0.25). This alloy steel is frequently used as a\u00a0standard anchor material for applications involving high temperatures. It offers good thermal and anti-corrosive properties and may be used in temperatures of up to 1,150 \u00b0C. Similarly to AISI 309, AISI 310\u00a0is also very susceptible to sigma phase embrittlement and should therefore be used primarily for constant temperature applications.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-77f1861 elementor-widget elementor-widget-elementskit-heading\" data-id=\"77f1861\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"elementskit-heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"ekit-wid-con\" ><div class=\"ekit-heading elementskit-section-title-wraper    ekit_heading_tablet-   ekit_heading_mobile-\"><h2 class=\"ekit-heading--title elementskit-section-title \">AISI 330 (1.4864)<\/h2><div class=\"ekit_heading_separetor_wraper ekit_heading_elementskit-border-divider elementskit-style-long\"><div class=\"elementskit-border-divider elementskit-style-long\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-72f5777 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"72f5777\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This alloy is able to withstand temperatures up to 1,250 \u00b0C in oxidising environments. It has good oxide adhesion, resistance to spalling, and is totally immune to SIGMA formation. It is especially suitable for metal annealing furnaces, where thermal cycling occurs. It has good strength and thermal shock resistance. This alloy is not suitable for applications where sulphur is present as a\u00a0result of its high nickel content. It is however well suited for oxygen depleted environments. It has good carbon and nitrogen absorption resistance and is a\u00a0good alternative to Inconel 601, especially for heavy refractory anchors. With lock washer applications this alloy is equal to or superior to Inconel 601\u00a0due to its higher melting point (1400 C).<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d24bbe4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-elementskit-heading\" data-id=\"d24bbe4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"elementskit-heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"ekit-wid-con\" ><div class=\"ekit-heading elementskit-section-title-wraper    ekit_heading_tablet-   ekit_heading_mobile-\"><h2 class=\"ekit-heading--title elementskit-section-title \">Inconel 601<\/h2><div class=\"ekit_heading_separetor_wraper ekit_heading_elementskit-border-divider elementskit-style-long\"><div class=\"elementskit-border-divider elementskit-style-long\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ab1142c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ab1142c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This alloy excels in high temperatures and is especially suited for applications above 1,100 \u00b0C. It may be used in up to 1,250 \u00b0C, although its melting point is close to 1,300 \u00b0C. This alloy offers superior strength right up to the\u00a0melting point. It is immune to SIGMA formation and great for thermal cycling and thermal shock applications. It has excellent oxide scale adhesion to the\u00a0base metal due to the\u00a0addition of aluminium. It is however not suited for environments with gasses containing traces of sulphur or vanadium oxides, due to its high nickel content. It tends to undergo eutectic transformation at approximately 650\u00a0\u00b0C, which weakens the\u00a0base metal structure significantly. For ceramic fibre refractory, it should be used in combination with 330\u00a0AISI lock washers or ceramic cuplocks. Inconel 601\u00a0has superior strength compared to other alloys and should therefore be used for heavier refractory in temperatures above 1,150 \u00b0C. Inconel 601\u00a0may be prone to internal oxidation when the\u00a0stresses on the\u00a0anchor exceed 5\u00a0&#8211; 10% of creep rate within 10.000 hrs.
